GPR services by PCTS

Introduction

PCTS applies Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology, which is entirely non-destructive and allows for rapid mapping of large structures. GPR operates on the pulse echo principle: radio wave energy propagates through the test object from a moving antenna. These waves travel through the test object, creating echoes at boundaries of dissimilar materials.

The arrival time and strength of these echoes can then be used to calculate various properties and inclusions listed below.

Application

  • Cracks
  • Delaminations
  • Honeycomb
  • Thickness
  • Voids
  • Reinforcement steel
